If you want to add a photo to your profile you can either take a new photo or upload a photo from your camera roll  (photo library).
If nothing happens when you select these options, then it is very likely that you have not granted our app the access to use it. You can do this in the settings app on your phone.

For your convenience, we recommend that you allow access to both resources. We promise, we only use it in the event you want us to access it.
